David R. Morris, 79, of Newton, died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, at Park Centre Care Center in Newton. A celebration of David’s life will be at a later date. Memorials to the Taylor Hospice House may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.
David, the son of Elmer and Sally (Ramsfield) Morris, was born March 26, 1936, in Lake George, Minn. He was united in marriage with Kathy Bockes April 18, 1960, in Mt. Morris, Ill. They lived in many places including Newton, off and on for 30 years. He and Kathy owned and operated CAPCO Printing in Newton.
Those left to honor David’s memory are his children, Kelly Morris of Lu Verne, Kurt (Rhonda) Morris of Kellogg, and Kristine “Kris” (Tadd) Niemann of Prairie City; six grandchildren, Tasha (Kevin) Rushing, Luke (Allie) Morris, Jordan Morris (Colby Kriegel), Nick Peters, Lauren Peters and Madeline Peters; his four great-grandchildren, Landon, Hayden, Raygen and Ryker; siblings, Lila Morris, Jess (Karen) Morris, Nancy Mitchell and Bob (Pat) Morris; and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathy Morris in 2002; and two brothers, Gary and Roger Morris.
