New Jersey Governor and 2016 Republican presidential hopeful Chris Christie is scheduled to make an appearance at Iowa Speedway during the upcoming race weekend.
Christie continues what has been a thorough campaign in Iowa with a trip to the infield garage of Iowa Speedway on Saturday. He’s slated to greet fans, crews and drivers from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. in the garage. The governor is also scheduled to greet fans in the Speedway parking lots from 1:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
He is the fourth Republican presidential candidate to come to Newton within the past five weeks, following Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee and Bobby Jindal. Martin O’Malley is the only major declared Democratic party candidate to have visited Newton recently.
