The first Get to Know Newton Welcome Package was presented to Jason and Ashley Carter, who purchased a home in Fountain Hills Estates. Development Specialist Craig Armstrong, Housing Coordinator Amanda Price, NHDC President Jennifer Cook and Farver True Value Owner Scot Farver were on hand to present the package which is valued at nearly $4,000.
The welcome package consists of locally donated products and services including four 2016 season passes to Iowa Speedway, a one-year family membership to the YMCA, a Toro lawnmower from Farver True Value Hardware and a membership to Maytag Pool, among many other valuable goods.
The Carters are both teachers in the Newton Community School District and previously lived in Knoxville with their two daughters.
