The Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce will host a luncheon to welcome the new school teachers and administrators to the Newton community from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 18. The luncheon will be held at the Newton DMACC Campus, 600 N. Second Ave. W.
As in previous years, the chamber offers sponsorships to host the new teachers and the school administrators in appreciation of their service to the community. It also assembles gift bags filled with coupons, gifts, special introductory offers and logo/promotional items to give to each new teacher.
Host sponsorships are $50, which will cover the cost of one representative of a business or organization and one new teacher or school administrator. The chamber is asking for 15 items for the gift bags. Items for the gift bags will only be accepted with a paid sponsorship.
To reserve your sponsorship and to be included in the program, submit the information requested below to the Chamber office no later than noon on Aug. 14. Your donated items also need to be delivered to the Chamber of Commerce office no later than Aug. 17.
Also, there are six Gold Apple Premier Sponsorships at $250 each. The business’ logo will be included on the program cover and in the August Chamber e-blasts. These sponsors will receive two tickets to the event and a representative from your business/organization will give a brief welcome greeting to the teachers and administrators.
