‘Iowa’s Hidden Treasures’ with Dan Kaercher

Dan Kaercher, retired founding editor-in-chief of Midwest Living Magazine and host of “Iowa’s Simple Pleasures,” will speak at Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge on July 18.

Kaercher will share stories of Iowa’s Hidden Treasures from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by a question and answer session and an opportunity for book signings. This talk is the first installment of a speaker series provided by the Friends of Neal Smith NWR.

Dan is also the author of three books about the Midwest and Iowa: Best of the Midwest, Taste of the Midwest, and Parklands of the Midwest.
