Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Month

What better month to celebrate fresh fruits and veggies as here in Iowa we are harvesting fresh berries, spinach and lettuce out of our gardens. In-season produce tastes great and is less expensive. Whole fruits and vegetables are nature’s super foods. Be certain to clean the fruits and vegetables well before consuming.

The MyPlate recommendation for fruit intake for most adults is 1.5 to 2 cups each day.
