Last Thursday evening in the Maytag Bowl the Newton Municipal Band had its second concert of the season. We want to make a special thank-you to Domino’s Pizza owners Scott and Julie Creech. They were there with pizza and beverages for sale in their trailer. They donated a very generous number of pizzas for all the band members to enjoy afterward, in which we have about 50 adults and students involved.
I'm sure that this far exceeded what they made being present at the concert! This is a local business that has been very community minded not only with the Municipal Band in the past, but many other community organizations. We would encourage you to thank and patronize this long time local business.
The Municipal Band will have concerts the next two Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. in the Maytag Bowl and would encourage you to attend.
