BOONE — Breanna Maher of Prairie City-Monroe, and Courtney Clapper of CMB-CN were each a part of the all-Heart of Iowa Conference girls’ golf team finishing in the top 12 of the HOIC tournament Wednesday.

Maher tied for second with a 94 but lost a cardback that put her into third, and Clapper shot a 109 to grab the 12th and final all-conference spot.

Maher’s finish on a warm and very windy day at the par 72 Cedar Pointe Golf Course helped push the Mustangs to fourth as a team. They shot a 468 and were 43 shots back of third-place South Hamilton (425).
