The Woodrow Wilson spelling bee finalists were determined recently in a grade level spelling bee. They will move on to compete in the fourth through sixth grade finals which will occur from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. during Family Fun Night on Thursday at Thomas Jefferson.
The top five students from each grade are: fourth — Ella Price, Kylie Thomas, Natalie Smith, Leo Friedman, Brody Bauer; fifth — Kamiya McDonald, Alex Bassett, Kristyln Johnson, Grace Benson, Laura Sander; sixth — Alyssa Sidebottom, Anthony Bestell, Talbot Mastio, Alex Schoettmer, Darian Morrison
Thomas Jefferson spelling bee finalists will be chosen the night of Family Fun Night. Semi-finals will begin at 5:30 p.m. where the top five students from each grade will be chosen.
Anyone wanting to participate in kindergarten through third grade need to be there by 5:15 p.m. to get signed up and taken to the correct room. The top 20 students will become the finalists to compete against each other from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the Thomas Jefferson stage.
In addition to the bee, there will also be other fun activities and games, inflatables, balloon twisting, face painting, freewill offering dinner, popcorn and buy one get one free book fair. So, come join us for some fun and cheer on your fellow classmates as they compete against one another to determine the Spelling Bee Champions.
