• Michael D. Cassady, 36, of Newton, was arrested on a Jasper County warrant for failure to appear after he turned himself in at the Jasper County Jail at 12:25 p.m. Tuesday. He was placed in jail.
• Kayla K. Vanwatermeulen, 20, of Newton, was arrested on an Iowa City warrant after authorities were called to 703 E 12th St. Place N. at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday.
• Christopher P. Stitt, 24, of Newton, is charged with public intoxication after authorities were called to Kum & Go at 11:17 p.m. Tuesday. Officers found Stitt at Kum & Go where he smelled strongly of alcohol and his balance was unsteady. He admitted to having several beers and had a BAC of .2. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
