ISU women earn ninth straight bid as 10 seed

AMES — For the ninth straight season, the Iowa State women’s basketball team will play in the NCAA Women’s Tournament.

The Cyclones (18-12) were given a 10 seed and will face seventh-seeded Dayton at 11 a.m. Friday in Lexington, Kent. That winner will face either No. 2 Kentucky or No. 15 Tennessee State on Sunday.

ISU is just one of 10 teams nationally to earn NCAA tourney berths in nine straight seasons.
