Re-Prom: Prom the way you always wanted it

The Young Professionals of Jasper County are hosting the first annual adult (21 and older) Re-Prom at the Iowa Speedway on March 28.

They have partnered with Iowa Speedway for the event and as part of their partnership, all proceeds from Re-Prom will be given to Iowa Speedway Cares as part of YPJC’s continuing effort to support their mission and make a positive impact on Jasper County.

“We want to host more social events that appeal to those of all ages — as there are a lot of new people in Newton and Jasper County that are looking for ways to meet and connect with others,” said YPJC President Danielle Rogers. “An adult prom, where everyone can have the prom they always wanted with their friends, seemed like a great idea for our spring social.”

The event starts at 7 p.m. when Iowa Speedway will offer pace car rides, around the Fastest Short Track on the Planet for a $25 donation, per ride, to Iowa Speedway Cares.
"We are thrilled for the Young Professionals of Jasper County to host Re-Prom at Iowa Speedway," said Iowa Speedway President Jimmy Small. "We create lasting memories here at Iowa Speedway, and we expect this to be another entertaining and memorable event. Don't miss out."

The dancing begins at 8 p.m. with a live DJ. With music from the 70s, 80s, 90s and more as well as games and entertainment — there is something for everyone at Re-Prom.
Enjoy drinks and appetizers, photo ops, and much more throughout the night. Free appetizers and beer will be served (while supplies last) and a full cash bar will be available all night.

You’re encouraged to dress in your favorite (or worst) prom attire — dressing up is not necessary but we bet you will have more fun if you do.

Tickets are available at tikly.co/events/378 for $20 per person and Re-Prom goers are encouraging to plan in advance as anyone would for prom. Tickets purchased the day of the event will be $30 per person.

The Young Professionals of Jasper County serve as an impulse to spur personal and community growth through networking, community outreach, and social events. Currently, YPJC hosts two annual community events (Thanks with Franks and the Court House Lighting Chili Cook-Off) as well as a variety of social and business networking events.
