Jasper County in Winter Weather Advisory

Jasper County is in a Winter Weather Advisory until 8 p.m. Thursday. Strong winds and blowing snow are forecasted into the late evening hours.

A strong cold front is moving into northwest Iowa, bringing winds up to 50 mph which will cause reduced visibility. Additional snow showers are also possible which could limit visibility to a quarter mile or less at times. As the front moves across the state, dangerous wind chills will return.
