Bomb threat at Jasper County Courthouse

The Jasper County Sheriff's Office is investigating a bomb threat at the Jasper County Courthouse.

The courthouse was evacuated and closed until just before noon.

Jasper County Auditor Dennis Parrott said in a news release that a bomb threat was received at the courthouse Monday morning.

A media update is expected at 1:30 p.m. at the Newton Armory.
