On Nov. 19, the Newton Daily News had an article about a Newton man who was accused of sexual abuse of a 14-year-old girl. When I read this I thought to myself — how could someone do this to this girl living in the same home, seen coming out of her room and no one says anything the first time it happened?
This went on from May 2011 to February 2013 and he gets 15 days in jail and a $65 fine. Unbelievable!
If this would have happened to my daughter I don’t think the police could have gotten to my house in the time to save him.
I’m disappointed with the Jasper County Judicial system.
