The Newton Board of REALTORS Multiple Listing Service released Wednesday the October 2014 housing statistics based on MLS statistical information for properties with a Newton mailing address. The total residential listings at the end of October was 147 with 21 pending and 24 listed. Twenty-four residential properties sold or closed in October with a price range of $24,000 to $189,900.
This year, as of Oct. 31, 205 residential properties have been sold sold with Newton addresses with an average of 115 days on the market and a price of $103,497.
At this time in 2013, 228 residential properties were sold with Newton addresses, with an average of 99 days on the market and a price of $99,916.
At this time in 2012, 192 residential properties were sold with Newton addresses, with an average of 123 days on the market and a price of $86,825.
At this time in 2011, 158 residential properties were sold with Newton addresses, with an average of 143 days on the market and a price of $90,958.
This information does not include multi-family listings but does include single family homes, condo and townhouses and may include properties outside the Newton city limits that have Newton mailing addresses. No private sales are included.
