U.S. Bank makes donation to Newton Main Street

Newton Main Street received a $4,000 donation from the Newton branch of U.S. Bank Wednesday. When Main Street was forming, U.S. Bank committed to pledges over the first three years of the originazation. Instead of sending yearly pledges, it decided to donate the whole amount at once.

“U.S. bank is a part of the Newton Main Street and we are also very supportive of the community and growth the downtown area is wanting to achieve. The Newton Main Street is one avenue of being able to do that,” Tracy Taylor, commercial relationship manager said. “U.S. bank has been a part of the downtown area for 12 years and the predicesors of that over 50 years. Newton is a very important part of what U.S. bank does here in the area.”
