St. Francis Manor and Seeland Park in Grinnell will host the Outrageously Orange Fun Run & Walk Oct. 4.
Participants can choose between two distances — a one-mile or two-mile course — or sponsor a St. Francis Manor resident and help him/her through the course. Check-in begins at 9 a.m. at the Hawn Center entrance on Orchard Drive located east of the health care center.
Events will be on the Seeland Park campus with opening remarks by Honorary Race Director Congressman Bruce Braley at 9:50 a.m., and the races begin at 10 a.m. Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers of each event. After the races, Seeland Park residents will be playing bocce ball. Anyone interested in playing or learning to play is invited.
The registration fee is $10 and includes a T-Shirt, drink and snack. Registration forms can be picked up at the St. Francis Manor Administration Office at 2021 Fourth Ave. or downloaded at www.stfrancismanor.com. Call (641) 236-7592 with any questions.
