To the editor,
Bruce Braley's continuous disregard and lack of appreciation for farmers should be troubling to all Iowans. It is extremely difficult to find a portion of Iowa or Iowa's economy that is not touched by agriculture or farmers. His comments about Senator Chuck Grassley not being fit to be a leader in the U.S. Senate because he is a farmer are completely unacceptable. Though we shouldn't really be all that surprised, Braley supports policies like the death tax that destroys family farms and encourages more government waste and fraud.
That is why we need Joni Ernst as our next U.S. Senator. She grew up on a family farm and knows what it means to get up early to do chores. Joni understands that people all over the world depend on the food grown in Iowa fields to make sure their families don't go to sleep hungry.
It is time for us to send this strong Iowa farm girl to Washington to give all Iowans a voice in the Senate. Join me in voting for Joni Ernst for U.S. Senate.
