• Joanne Thomason of Newton took first place in the rug - mat size; 3 & 4 cut, fourth in rug - mat size; 5 cut or larger, and second place in originals or adaptations divisions of the Fabric and Threads contest at the Iowa State Fair.

• Susan Bryan of Newton placed second in rug - mat size; 5 cut or larger, and second in wall hangings - real life motifs in the hooked rugs division of the Fabric and Threads contest.

• Morgan Peterson of Newton placed third in sewn items - skirt or pants, first placed in sewn items - redesigned or recycled in the Junior division of the Fabric and Threads contest.

• Bridget Carson of Newton received Reserve Champion Spotted Gilt and Reserve Champion Other Breeds Gilt in the FFA Breeding Swine Show

• Shania Roush of Newton received Champion Junior Western Pleasure (four and five-year-old) at the FFA Horse Show.

• Alexandra Cleverley of Newton received Reserve Champion Pony Breeds at the FFA Horse Show.

• Jarret Horn of Newton placed second in Premier Exhibitor at the FFA Horse Show.

• Logan Wilson of Colfax received Champion Dorset Ram in the FFA Breeding Sheep Show.

• Payge Edwards of Monroe received Champion Other Meat Breeds Ewe in the FFA Breeding Sheep Show.

• Nedra Herr of Newton placed first in Miscellaneous - Decorated Functional Frames & Clocks in the Woodcarving division in the Wood Projects contest,

• Denny Lind of Colfax placed second in Relief Carving - Natural History, third in Instructor Assisted - Birds, third place in Instructor Assisted - Human in the Woodcarving division in the Wood Projects contest.

• Bill Beler of Colfax placed second for the Shortest Legs and second for the Whitest Legs in the Mr. Legs contest.

• Kinsley, Hadley and Landon Meyer of Newton placed third in the Under1, Least Alike division in the annual Twins, Triplets and More contest.

• Sidney and Stella Wickett of Newton placed fourth in the Age 1, Least Alike division in the annual Twins, Triplets and More contest.

• Brooke and Katie DeVries of Monroe placed fourth in the Age 2, Most Alike division in the annual Twins, Triplets and More contest.

• Lincoln and Jordyn Schnell of Sully received first place in the Age 2, Least Alike division in the annual Twins, Triplets and More contest.

• Nancy Winn, Ollie, and Norman Reiner of Newton placed fourth in the Ages 18+, Least Alike division in the annual Twins, Triplets and More contest.

• James Leonard of Newton received the Reserve Grand Champion banner and Reserve Champion Scan in the FFA Carcass Lamb show.
