To the editor,
My wife and I are appreciative of the “Get to Know Newton” campaign and to do as much local purchasing as possible. However, when dealing locally with businesses/organizations/persons we also look for what we call the “Golden Nugget” factor. A “Golden Nugget” is a person who knows more about something or a subject than we do and are willing to help us to learn.
Recently, we received a notice that our cell/smart phones were eligible for an upgrade. “What to do?” We thought of driving an hour or so to the nearest largest corporate store. It is very busy, insufficient parking, too many customers (crowded), noisy, insufficient sales staff (make an appointment) resulting in long wait times for assistance.
We decided to look locally ... in Newton. We discovered our “Golden Nuggets.”
At Z Wireless, 1126 First Ave. E. we found two young personable gentlemen, Matt and Chad, both extremely knowledgeable in the newest, latest technology of smartphones. The atmosphere was calming and relaxing. In a very short amount of time, Matt and Chad educated us on the newest, latest smartphone technology and advantages. They are here to service us as needs arise.
Voila! We found two more “Golden Nuggets” and got to know Newton better.
