The Lions Club of Newton recently made a very generous and thoughtful donation to Willowbrook Adult Day Center.

“We are grateful for the wonderful things The Lions Club of Newton does for our community and are thankful they considered Willowbrook,” Willowbrook Coordinator Kelsey Terpstra said.

The club donated flip flops, craft supplies, flowers, yarn and others items.

“When I brought up the idea of making a donation to the members, many expressed that they have friends or family who attend Willowbrook. So, it was pretty easy to get buy in for this project” Lions Club member Jeanine Luetters said.

“Willowbrook is a wonderful community service and one that is underutilized, so we see this as an opportunity to educate not only our members, but the community about this valued service.”

The Lions Club of Newton has been instrumental in assisting people young and old throughout our community with hearing test assistance, eyeglasses and cornea transport services.
