Conservation and climate discussion today

The Center for Rural Affairs will host a community discussion on the toll that temperature and weather extremes take on rural and small town Iowa and the natural environment 5:30 to 8 p.m. today at Drake Community Library, located at 930 Park St. in Grinnell.

The discussion will also focus on practical, commonsense actions that Iowans can take to help address climate change, keep ecosystems in working or and create opportunities in rural areas.

The panel discussion will feature perspectives from conservation, agricultural, scientific and sporting communities, and explore the impacts of climate as well as action we can take to address changes that will benefit our communities and natural environment.

A light supper will be provided.
