Bishop Martin Amos was at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Saturday, April 26, at the 5:30 p.m. mass to confer the sacrament of confirmation on 11 candidates from the Newton parish and nine from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colfax.

The candidates prepared throughout the year by attending weekly faith formation sessions at their respective churches and additional confirmation family sessions with their parents. In October the candidates from both parishes attended an overnight retreat.
