Barrett Homemakers

The April meeting of the Barrett Homemakers was held at the home of Irene Erwin with eight members present.

Irene opened the meeting by reading “Strange But True,” a comparison of Presidents Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy, and an article from Ann Landers column, “The Stranger in the Mirror.”

Roll call was answered with those present telling about their Plans for Easter. Minutes were read and approved. Pennies for Barrett were collected and treasurer, Linda Van Maanen, read thank you notes from the family of Maxine Deppe and the East Jasper Christian Food Pantry.

A get well card was signed for Marcia Erwin, daughter-in-law, of Irene Erwin.

The May meeting will be at 11:30 a.m. May 14 at Montana Mikes in Newton.

Note this change in meeting place.
