News will drive you half crazy if you allow it

To the editor:

I do read the paper and read the computer news as well as the television. I would go nuts and half crazy if I let it and if you ask my husband he would probably tell you I am.

Well I agree with one article we need to spend more time with our family. Turn the new pods off and go the old ways. But first it should have start from the cradle. If you start when they go to school well good luck. It will be hard.

I remember when I was a girl about 6 or 7 when you could go out at night and catch firefly’s and put them in a jar or make rings out of them. You don’t see that anymore. How sad.

Then I seen an article where you would like to see what would “improve the downtown area.” One thing that stands out in my mind is the “empty stores.” I really hate seeing empty  stores and sure everyone else does too. We have to see if there is a way to fill them and why they leave us. First “why do they all leave us?” There has to be a reason they leave us.

Newton relied on Maytag’s far too much as a crutch. Someone that would bring big to us and by that I mean “money.” Well folks, it isn’t here anymore and the retired folks can tell you they are suffering as much as you.

They want things as much as you do but it ain’t happening. The Big Man want His half as much as Yours! (Yeah we have other factories and business but not like Maytag’s and we turned away far too many other business’s because Maytag’s was our savior).

This new so called Affordable Care Act is failing as we speak. New laws are being added everyday. But it has already been signed and sealed as of Dec 31, and the DOJ had it at that point. Nothing could be added. Even with his, pin regardless of his pin.

The congress still has to OK it. That is the law of the Constitution of the USA. President Obama already has changed this ACA 27 times, so I am sure the Insurance commission is beside itself! OH WELL! We have an election coming up!
