Jasper County Conservation will host a “Sweetheart Snowshoe” night on Friday at Maytag Park’s log cabin for those looking to try something a little different this Valentine’s Day.
Participants can stop by the cabin at any time between 6 and 8 p.m. to learn how to snowshoe while exploring the outdoors under a full moon.
A fire and refreshments will make this hike extra special. Registration is required by contacting Jasper County Conservation at (641) 792-9780 or conservation@co.jasper.ia.us by Thursday. The cost is $10 a couple/family and includes snowshoe rental.
