SULLY — Three of Lynnville-Sully’s four senior wrestlers went out at home on the mat Thursday.
Caden Doll, Payton Scandridge and Meliek Meyer wrestled in the Hawks’ final regular-season double dual while Korey Exline wasn’t wrestling. All four were recognized on Senior Night.
Lynnville-Sully pulled out a 39-36 win over Tri-County/Montezuma. The Hawks rolled over B-G-M, 47-24.
Doll went 2-0 at 160 pounds for the Hawk, spending just about three minutes on the mat — pinning Clay Harper of Tri-County/Montezuma in 2 minutes, 30 seconds and B-G-M’s Price Hall in 45 seconds.
Scandridge won by forfeit against Tri-County/Montezuma at 152 then was pinned by Gage Winter of B-G-M in 5:15. Meyer also went 1-1 on the night, losing in overtime, 11-9, to Mitch Gibson of Tri-County/Montezuma then claiming a 17-2 technical fall against B-G-M’s Taylor Staton in the second period of their 145-pound match.
Lynnville-Sully heads to the South Iowa Cedar League tournament Saturday at Iowa Valley.
