To the editor:
Most people don’t think much about people in Newton who are under-appreciated service providers. Their hard and dedicated work goes unnoticed by many.
I want to send my thanks to the hard-working people who are the garbage collectors. They provide a great service to the community.
The young man who picks up ours always has a smile on his face regardless of the weather, hot or cold. I know it’s a job that I wouldn’t do for any amount of money. I wouldn’t be able to handle the smell of old garbage.
My thanks to them all.
