Virginia N. (Gauch) Bucklin, 92, of Newton, formerly of Baxter, died on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at the Nelson Manor Nursing Home in Newton.
A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. The family will greet friends from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at the funeral home.
Those left to honor Virginia’s memory are her children, Bennie (Mariea) Bucklin of Baxter, Karen (Glen) Sherratt of Newton and Faye (David) Maxwell of Wasilla, Alaska; her daughter-in-law, Evonne (Rick) Whalen of Ankeny; and 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ransom; son, Jerry; grandson, Bradly Bucklin and great-granddaughter, Jaryn Bucklin.
