Visual Truth Mime Troupe to perform in Kellogg, Newton

The Visual Truth Mime Troupe, which presents the gospel of Jesus Christ through the dramatic and powerful means of the art of mime, will perform at several churches in the area over the week.

The troupe will be perform at Westfield Community Church in Grinnell at 7 p.m. Friday; Malcolm United Methodist Church following a noon potluck lunch Saturday; Kellogg United Methodist Church at 7 p.m., Saturday; and the Newton Foursquare Church at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

The 14-member team is made up of youth from age 10 to 18 and uses the traditional costuming, make-up and techniques of mime to bring the gospel to life. Visual Truth is a Kansas-based ministry that has been training young people for 20 years to communicate faith using this unique medium. All of their performances are open the public, and all are welcome to attend.
