Dean Hopman, 53, of Newton was born Nov. 30, 1959, and died Oct. 16, 2013.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Newton. Reception to follow at the Arboretum Center.
Dean was a member of the Newton congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He liked golf, taking vacations with his family and was known for his great sense of humor. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; his daughter, Emily; his mother, Marion; his three brothers and four sisters; and 11 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at Great Southern Bank in Kathryns name.
