Skiff Hospice debuts men’s support group

Skiff Medical Center is pleased to announce a new program for men who have experienced the death of a loved one. The “Men’s Breakfast” group will be presented by Skiff Hospice twice a month and will give men from the community the opportunity to receive support from others experiencing the ups and downs of grief.

“Men’s Breakfast” will be held at 8:30 a.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month at Perkins Family Restaurant, located at I-80 and Highway 14, Newton. Skiff Hospice chaplain Gary Marzolf will serve as host for each meeting. While each person is responsible for the cost of his meal, there is no additional fee to attend and no registration is required. The first meeting will be on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

For more information, call Skiff Hospice Bereavement Coordinator Jennifer Barnett at (641) 787-3074.
