West Marshall holds PCM at bay

MONROE — Following a big Week 2 victory over Pella Christian, the Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs were unable to carry the momentum through to Week 3, as they fell at home to West Marshall, 28-6.

Sophomore quarterback Logan Gilman completed three of 11 pass attempts for 31 yards. Senior Blake McWilliams ran the ball 14 times for 67 yards. Zach Uhlenhopp had five carries for 14 yards. Ronnie Marshall had eight carries for 27 yards and the only PCM touchdown.

McWilliams caught one pass for 19 yards, Ricky Reeve had five yards on his reception. Uhlenhopp had the third catch for seven yards.

McWilliams led the team in tackles with 13. Brandon Charls had seven tackles. Justin Breener and Jade Coleman had five apiece. Reeve and Jackson Winegar had four tackles each. Marshall and Ryan Donahue had three apiece.

Uhlenhopp had another interception, giving him four in the last two games. Coleman and McWilliams each recovered fumbles for the Mustangs.
