Continued Freedom Flight kudos for Doug Bishop are deserved

To the editor:

i was glad to see the kudos are still coming in for Doug Bishop, organizaer of all the veterans’ Freedom Flights, plus the many other things to honor our wonderful men and women who have served our country.

Doug is a very humble servant and he knows he couldn’t do all that has been done by himself. He is very willing to share the praise we all give to all the people dedicated to helping him.

On a personal note, Doug is fifth in line of five children of the late Coy and Judy (Parsons) Bishop (my sister-in-law). He was born and raised in Newton, lived here most of his life, and now resides in Baxter with his devoted family.

If each of us could do just half as much as Doug has accomplished in his short 43 years, what a wonderful world thi would be.

Doug, I can only say your parents are smiling down on you and saying, “Our son — well done — we are so proud of you.”
