The First Lutheran Church, 309 E. Third St. N. in Newton, will host its annual corn boil from 5:30 to 7 p.m. tonight.
This meal includes all-you-can-eat sweet corn, sloppy joes and fresh garden vegetables. The annual summer corn boil has taken place for many years and started with the donation of sweet corn from Clarence Hackney. All are welcome to join in the occasion. The meal is free of charge, but freewill donations are appreciated.
