JCCA membership drive now underway

The first of four concerts in the 2013-14 Jasper County Concert Association is still several weeks away, but the non-profit’s board would like to remind everyone that the price of memberships will go up on Sept. 1.

“Current season ticket prices are $35 for single adult memberships, $75 for family memberships and $15 for students,” JCCA Membership Chairwoman Virginia Bennett said. “On Sept. 1, prices rise by $5 each.”

The JCCA is a non-profit association that brings live music performances to the Center for Performing Arts Auditorium at Newton Senior High School. It is operated by a volunteer board of directors -- new board members are always being sought -- who serve three-year terms.

Members receive tickets to four shows in Newton, as well as four additional shows in Indianola. A limited number of tickets to concerts in Marshalltown are available to JCCA members for $10 each -- $5 for students -- through Aug. 15.

“The (JCCA) membership drive for the 2013-2014 season is going well, with a large number of memberships received,” Bennett said. “The drive will continue throughout the concert season with tickets available at the door for each concert.”

For those wishing to join JCCA at current membership prices, a completed membership card must be mailed, along with payment, to:
