Club Notes

DAR Grinnell Chapter

The July 13 meeting of the Grinnell DAR Chapter was called to order by Regent Darlene Leib in the home of member Melinda Hardin in Sully with 14 members present and guests Shelly Foster and Tina Lemons.

Regent Leib led the opening Ritual, Pledge of Allegiance and Vice Regent Kris Macy led the American Creed. Chaplain Mary Rethmeier gave devotions.

Registrar report was 60 members and two applications are pending at National; two applications verified and three supplementals are pending. Jeanette Shannon gave a report on the Continental Congress.

Kris Macy held the flag retirement ceremony with the help of all members present.

The next meeting will be held at the Center For Arts & Artists Sept. 14 with the program on heirlooms by Pat Beckham. Merna Rusk and Pat Beckham will be hostess.
