Bethannie Hughes received the $300 Morris Trusler Scholarship for her play in the youth leagues held at Cardinal Lanes.

Former Newton Cardinal bowler Dylan VanSickle receives a $250 scholarship from the Jasper County Men’s Bowling Association presented to him by Dave Humphrey. VanSickle was the most consistent bowler for Newton this past season, averaging close to 180 each round. Van Sickle also received a $50 scholarship from the Iowa High School Bowling Federation that was presented to him by Bev Van Blair.

Bethannie Hughes received the $300 Morris Trusler Scholarship for her play in the youth leagues held at Cardinal Lanes. Hughes bowled for the Newton Senior High Cardinals for the past four years and was secpnd on the team in scoring during the last two months of the season. The scholarship was presented to her by Laird Trusler. Hughes also received a $250 scholarship from the Jasper County Mens Bowling Association that was presented by Dave Humphrey.
