The Newton Elks Lodge provided the St. Nick’s Christmas Club with a $500 donation on Thursday to assist the organization’s efforts to provide toys, clothing and food to Jasper County needy children at Christmas. The donation was made possible due to the Newton Elks Lodge meeting its funding-raising goal with the Elks National Foundation which then provides local chapters with funds to distribute to local charitable organizations.
