Skiff Foundation thanks community for golf tourney support

To the Editor:

The Skiff Medical Center Foundation would like to thank the following businesses and individuals for their financial support and donations for the 10th annual golf tournament recently held at Westwood Park Golf Course. The Foundation would also like to acknowledge Westwood, particularly Brad Sponseller, for hosting the tournament, and Bob’s Original Barbeque for providing a great lunch.

Sponsors were 1st Newton National Bank, Graham Construction, Noble Chevrolet of Newton, Newton Manufacturing/Blue Fish Marketing, J & M roofing, Newsprinting, Inc., Seim Johnson, LLP, Coverys Ins., Edward Jones, Inc., The Eye Care Center, KCOB, Warnick Reeves Plumbing, and Great Western Bank.

Door Prize sponsors were Iowa Hospital Association, Newton Manufacturing, Okoboji Grill, 1st Newton National Bank, HyVee, Culvers, and Gary Gerdts.

Congratulations to the following winners: Championship Flight: 1st place, 1NNB (Gary Kahn, Rob Kahn, Nick Nichols, and Jamie Faidley, 2nd place (Frank Buckley, Terry Oswalt, George Riggs, and John Welle,

3rd place Newton Man. (Dan Livengood, Drew Argotsinger, Peg German, and Carl Hotchkiss, 4th place Seim Johnson (Darren Osten, Harvey Johnson, Katie Heldt, and Chris Weger.

1st Flight winners: 1st Place: (Brendan Lamont, Adam Otto, Lucas Otto, and Jeff Price, 2nd Place (Rita Baker, Joel Shields, Jim Christianson, and Ron Fey, 3rd Place: Bankers Trust (Gary Geels, Joe DeJong, Ted Economos, and Dave Gregory, 4th Place; Mark Thayer, Lee Mangrich, Jerry Dawson, and Terry Rickers.

Because of the continued support of the many businesses and individuals, the Skiff Foundation has raised almost $100,000 in the 10 years the tournament has been held.
