Fishing, hunting classes this summer

A free family outdoor class will be offered from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight, as well as July 2 and 16 and Aug. 6 and 20, to provide local families with a basic knowledge of fishing and hunting.

No previous experience is required. Outdoor Skills Coordinator Cara Ingle will teach participants how to identify fish commonly found in Iowa, which bait or lure is best for their catch, common animals that are hunted in Iowa and the history of archery. Each class will feature a different topic and a fun activity for families to enjoy at home.
