PCM baseball takes tough road loss at Norwalk

The Prairie City-Monroe baseball team suffered its first loss of the season Thursday night, falling to Norwalk 13-3 in five innings in Norwalk.

The Warriors jumped on the Mustangs (2-1) to the tune of nine runs in the first before adding one in the second and five in the third to envoke the 10-run mercy rule. PCM scored its runs in the first and fourth innings.

Seniors Nate Vande Wall and Alek Breckenridge and sophomore Chase Keuning contributed the three runs for PCM, while sophomore Tray Lindsay added two hits and junior Zach Uhlenhopp had one.

The Mustangs will begin Heart of Iowa Conference play against Gilbert in Prairie City at 7:30 tonight.
