Newton Police Department
• Nicole L. Clark, 35, Newton was arrested at 7:33 p.m. Thursday at 1401 S. Seventh Ave. W. on a Poweshiek County warrant for vehicle theft. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
• Shannon K. Wood, 42, of Newton was charged with driving while license barred after authorities stopped him at 5:55 a.m. Thursday in the 700 block of East Fourth Street South for speeding and having an inoperable brake light. A check of his driving record showed his license had been barred. He was transported to the Jasper County Jail.
