The combined chapters event of the P.E.O. Sisterhood was held Tuesday, April 16 at the McCann Center. Approximately 80 ladies enjoyed the delicious meal prepared and served by Chapter HS.

The ‘cooking’ theme was carried out in the elaborately decorated tables designed by Chapter ME and the clever programs were provided by Chapter LC.

The welcome was given by HS president Anne Gerken, followed by the invocation by Ila Mae Hanisch of Chapter AO. Fifty year members and new initiates were introduced by Anne Gerken, HS; Ila Mae Hanisch, AO; Joy Lane, ME; and Linda Wilcox, LC.

The program was given by AO members Carly Groben and Jean Groben. They provided an information and interesting look at their businesses, the Jasper Winery and Prairie Canary Restaurant. The mother/daughter duo spoke on how their businesses began, how they have grown and their plans for the future.
