• Sincearae Doran, 25, of Newton was charged with operating while intoxicated after authorities arrived at the McDonald’s located at 4400 S. 27th Ave. E. at 12:34 a.m. Wednesday. Employees reported Doran allegedly smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech as she came through the drive-thru. She failed sobriety test and had a blood alcohol content of .154 percent. She was released to appear.
• Tyler J. Hurt, 19, of Newton was charged with serious assault at his residence at 425 N. 11th Ave. E. #11 at 8:07 p.m. Wednesday after officers investigated a assault that occurred at 701 E. 10th St. N. at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday. He allegedly was in an altercation with another male and hit a female victim resulting in her being taken to the hospital. He was released to appear.
• Bradford K. Lehrkamp, 30, of Newton was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued by Jasper County for a failure to appear on a probation violation at 1111 N. 11th Ave #12 at 7:32 p.m. Wednesday. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Cody P. Breeden, 20, of Mitchellville was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor and escaped from custody at his parents address located at 2118 W. 148th St. S. in Mitchellville Tuesday regarding an underage drinking party that occurred on Feb. 23 at 11:52 p.m. at the same address. During the party, he allegedly drank three beers and seven shots of alcohol. At the time, his blood alcohol content was .179 percent. Breeden and a group of about 13 party goers where asked to wait while a proper police vehicle could transport them to the Jasper County Jail. Breeden ran off and was not discovered to be missing until booking process. He was released to appear.
