10-year-old Iowa boy fatally injured by tree

BURLINGTON (AP) — Garrett Brockway, 10, of Brockway died Wednesday after being struck by a falling tree near his home. He was with his father, who was clearing trees near their home.

Lt. Clint Williams says a tree Bruce Brockway was removing with an excavator knocked over another tree, which knocked over a third tree that struck Garrett in his head.

The sheriff’s office says the incident has been ruled an accident.
