Raylan Keplar (with mother Amber) and Mia Keplar (with mother Paige) of Newton, who are cousins, will be connected for a lifetime of birthdays after their mothers — who are sisters — recently delivered them less than two hours apart at Skiff Medical Center. Amber Keplar delivered Raylan, her fourth child, at 1:20 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8. She had been scheduled for a cesarean section later in the week, but when she came to the hospital in labor and medication was unable to stop her contractions, Dr. Duane Jolivette proceeded with the delivery. In the meantime her younger sister, Paige Keplar, was already in the process of delivering Mia, her second child, who arrived at 2:48 a.m. Her physician was Dr. Pat Edwards.

Yes, an investment in Iowa Speedway is an investment in our community's future
Only state money should be used, because the whole state benefits from Iowa Speedway
