Phyllis Garner’s paintings on display

Phyllis Garner’s paintings “Thirsty,” “Fruit Harvest,” and “Amaryllis” will be displayed at the Newton Public Library until Jan. 31 as part of an ever-changing gallery in support of local artists. “It’s a wonderful collaboration with the Arts Connection, which is an organization that promotes art throughout the county,” Newton Public Library Director Sue Padilla said of the gallery. “We have people come in just to see the art because it changes every month. We provide the space, they provide the artists.”
