Tim Woody

Tim Woody, 57, of Grinnell died Sunday, Jan. 6 at Grinnell Regional Medical Center.

Tim was born Nov. 12, 1955 to Rex and Dora Mae (Johnson) Woody in Newton.  He was educated in Newton Schools and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was married to Mary Whannel Sept. 13, 2008.  Tim is survived by his wife, two daughters, Christine Woody and Holly (Chad) Lepley of Newton and one grandson Spencer Lepley.

He is also survived by four sisters, Marilyn (Larry) Deppe; Pat (Dennis) Farland; Jane (Mike) Patterson; Sally Hotchkin and one brother Joel (Melinda) Woody and two brothers-in-law  Mike Sullivan and Dennis Whannel, one sister in law Betty (Ike) Campbell  and 57 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Tommy, sister Ruth Sullivan and three brothers-in-law Johnnie Whannel, Jr., Van Hotchkin and Craig Harding.

A memorial service will be held January 26 at the Grinnell Eagles.
